The Master's Trestle Board
The Craft's Trestle Board
Brothers, the Master would like all to get the word out about our double Third Degree on the 3rd of
May. It is a Saturday morning and there will be refreshments before the degree with the degree
starting at 8:00 AM.

Brethren Cherry Point put on a fantastic Master Mason's Degree Saturday March 29th With all Past
Masters in the Chairs. Breakfast was served and it was delicious. The following Brothers put on the
degree. I will use the WB just this once because all spoken of are worthy of the title.  Lee K. Allen

the Senior Warden and Senior Grand Warden, Roy Myers was Junior Warden and Second Ruffian,
James Muse Sr. was Senior Deacon and Third Fellowcraft, Joe Fuller was Steward and Second
section SD/First Fellowcraft, Russ Rainear was Junior Deacon, King Solomon and gave the
Charge, D. K. Lewis was Secretary and Searcher, Ray Thomas of Newport was Treasurer and First

Lewis was Tyler. There were also many past Masters in attendance to in our most Senior Past
Master from 1955 Bowie Chelf.  WB Jimmie Muse Jr, Thanked all for their support and
congratulated the Past Masters for a job well done. Further stating to the newly made Master
Masons the importance of the Past Masters as those always willing to give of their knowledge for
those willing to receive it.

Cherry Point had a Second Degree last Thursday and it went wonderfully. Cherry Point is beaming
with Degree work brothers you need to invite all you know to come and see the great Degree work
being performed.

Cherry Point put on an outstanding First Degree this evening and our Senior Warden Brother Dale
gave his first First Degree lecture phenomenally. The Working tools, Apron Charge and Closing
Charge were also well done and several of our newer Brothers were present to observe the degree.

The Grand Master has issued a letter to all Lodge Masters to encourage Masonic education in the
lodge at least monthly, hold fund raisers for MESH and MHCO, post a calendar of events for the
lodge. As well as a few others, but i assure you that Cherry Point is already well up on the list and
has most of these items covered already.
Sick and Distressed:
Please keep the following
people and their families in your
prayers.
To: The Masters, Officers and Brothers of the 7th Masonic District

I would first like to take this opportunity to apologize to all the Brothers of our District for not
holding a second school of Instruction last year. My mother and Wife fell very ill in November and
I had to put a hold on the second school.
I need the following lodges to let me know what date would be best for their mandatory 5 hour
lecture service as this year all even numbered lodges must have one:

Cherry Point Lodge # 688

Aurora Lodge # 300
Doric Lodge # 568
Berne Lodge # 724

The final ruling on the 5 hour lecture service is that it is for only one lodge at a time. Of Course
any Brother can be there, but it will only count for th lodge that is hosting it.

If there is anything that I can do for your lodge please feel free to contact me. My cell phone is on
at all times and I have supplied my number and email address below. Please leave me a
message if I do not answer. It will be my pleasure to assist in any way that I can.

Fraternally Yours,

Russell M. Rainear PM CL DDGL 7th Masonic District
